Set the books start date
Limit the bookkeeping period and review which older records will be removed.
What changes with this date?
The books start date defines when bookkeeping in AirBill begins. Saving a date deletes older ledger entries and bank transactions from AirBill. This is not a temporary list filter. Records in Exact remain unchanged.
Change the date
- Open the client and go to bank transactions.
- Open the start-date control above the list and choose a date.
- Save and read the confirmation showing the number of older ledger entries.
- Check the client, date and consequences before confirming removal.
The date cannot be later than the oldest entry already posted to Exact. AirBill shows this limit when applicable.
Clear the date
Clearing saves immediately, without a deletion confirmation. It deletes no additional records, but does not restore entries previously removed.
The bank provides less history
A notice may show that available bank history starts after your chosen date. The bank determines how much history is available. Reconnecting does not guarantee older transactions. Check the missing period before treating the bookkeeping as complete.
