Keep a document without treating it as a receipt
Choose carefully between archiving, processing again and deleting.
Keep it as a document
Not every file is a receipt or invoice. You may want to keep a contract without creating an income or expense entry.
Open the document’s options and choose Archive when available. The file remains available as a document and no longer counts as a receipt or invoice.
For a booked document: the confirmation says its booking will be removed. Check that this is what you intend. Agree changes to existing bookkeeping with your accountant where needed.
Process it as a receipt or invoice
Choose Process again for an archived file when it should be read as a receipt or invoice. AirBill attempts extraction again; if it is booked, it leaves the archive.
This differs from retrying failed text recognition alone. Always read the confirmation.
Deleting is different
Deleting removes the document. The app does not provide an undo action. A booked document cannot be deleted directly: the app asks you to remove its booking first.
Use labels to organise files; you do not need to archive a document just to change how you group it.
